8:00 Instead of lowering the infill feed and weaken the part, why not use ironing of toplayer?

  5. Bobby Franklin on September 19, 2022 at 7:57 pm

What filament did you use. And whats the strongest filament there is ?

Hello, it would be interesting to present a product that can facilitate the cutting of 100mm pvc pipes, among others.

2:31 is that a 3d printed Sharpie sherpa? Or just off brand?

  18. Gentry Sanz-Agero on September 19, 2022 at 8:18 pm

What is the best panel scribing tool for PLA 3D prints. I print a lot of aircraft, spaceships, and armor vehicles. In many cases I like to add more panel lines and rivet patterns to add more detail to simple 3D prints. Any suggestions?

Watching this as I’m printing parts for my printer.

  21. Thornley MarshallDesigns on September 19, 2022 at 8:24 pm

Loved the video and definitely a lot of tools I’ll be looking to 3D print as I do a lot of DIY. I noticed from your list the “Kant twist clamp” link doesn’t work. Could you check this and let me know what the link for it is please. Thanks in advance

  22. Gabriel Athero on September 19, 2022 at 8:24 pm

2:45 Whoah! Is that your bottom layer? How did you get it so homogenous without gaps and lines? I’ve been fiddling around for a month now and i still see huge voids between the bottom layer lines. I generally also need at least 4 layers for the part to not let any light through when i hold it in front of a lamp.
Layer height, extrusion width, flow, speed, skin overlap, i played with everything. Still looks…meh. (and yes, my bed is level and Z offset is tuned in. even went over it with an indicator for levelling 😉 )

  23. D M on September 19, 2022 at 8:25 pm

Any really cheap 3D printing companies. I submitted the center finder to JLBPCB and they can’t handle more than one piece. They don’t have the capability to do multi parts STL prints. But their PCB value is incredible

  24. AlmightyYapper on September 19, 2022 at 8:25 pm

What kind of filament was used for these tools? I just bought a printer and some pla to go with it. I understand that pla isn’t the strongest material, however, I didn’t know if it would suffice for these tools or if I need to consider ordering some other kind of filament.

  25. Erik Iacopelli on September 19, 2022 at 8:26 pm

YEP THAT DAMN MODDING BUG GOT ME GOOD!!! I ALWAYS look for any and all mods there are for my Ender 3 Pro. I was printing a fan duct but the last lil bit of filament I had got wasted when my girls damn cat hit the printer n dislodged the print and I wasn’t here so I didn’t know and it wasted the last bit of filament. N since Im poor I have no money for filament 🙁

  26. The Plinker's Lodge on September 19, 2022 at 8:27 pm

One thing to be aware of if you print only with PLA is that it is not dimensionally stable – it shrinks over time. Tight things get loose and loose things get tight after a while.

  27. J3rs3yM1k3 on September 19, 2022 at 8:27 pm

Imperfections in a sanding block DO affect its performance. At best, you will wear out your sandpaper very quickly. At worst, you never get a smooth surface.

  28. Steven Payne on September 19, 2022 at 8:29 pm

good video, i haven’t even got a 3d printer but i heard you can print one??? lol

  29. Demon Princess on September 19, 2022 at 8:29 pm

why you have so many 3d printers? oh you must be rich…

  30. Trolling Them Softly on September 19, 2022 at 8:30 pm

I have a use for all of these tools, thanks.

  31. avega2792 on September 19, 2022 at 8:32 pm

That tube cutter is the best of the bunch, especially since I could have really used it to cut the Capricorn tube for my Ender 3 Pro!

  32. John Smith on September 19, 2022 at 8:34 pm

Never heard of a Radius being called a ‘ fillet ‘ before, but radius guages are a neat thing. Worked aerospace for 2 & 1/2 years, got good enough to grind a non critical radius within 5000ths ( just slightly bigger than a human hair) by eye. Even had to prove it to a supervisor to shut him up. He was always saying ‘ put a guage on it ‘ , I showed him my skill and he had to admit it was super in front of everyone.😁

  33. them2slow on September 19, 2022 at 8:35 pm

    First video. Great content.

  34. Colin Principe on September 19, 2022 at 8:38 pm

Love the chuck key for the drill press being on a chain. That thing ain’t going anywhere.

  35. rmp5s on September 19, 2022 at 8:40 pm

7:25 – That reminds me of the ruler set I bought for measuring tubing when I was building my hard-line water cooling loop. Wish I had my printer then!! lol

  36. Matt Logue on September 19, 2022 at 8:43 pm

I made the circle center finder, the one piece one.

  37. kstringer24 on September 19, 2022 at 8:44 pm

9:06 You didn’t say ‘acurately’ very acreatly!

  38. Artemirr Lazaris on September 19, 2022 at 8:45 pm

The contour one is interesting… you cna use the old Pin face thing that science toy, but instead of the 3d printed fins that are low fidelity.. the tiny metal pins are more accurate… and you cna create amag/ or clamp that stops them from returning while you trace hte deisgn and hten reset the tool.

  39. icyhotonmynuts on September 19, 2022 at 8:46 pm

At the 9:05 mark, you’re using the tool incorrectly. Don’t put the small end against the corner, and push the pieces in, do the reverse. Put the thick end against the corner and push up against it. The excess will then be pushed away.

  40. Artemirr Lazaris on September 19, 2022 at 8:47 pm

Technically a centerline tool is better at an infnite use length… meaning you only need two knobs and a center whole ot draw a center line, but if hte knobs are adjustible… you can bring them in and if they are swivel with falt surface you can match the surface… If you want ot always make it to the End of the instrument ot center measure you need three knobs… Whereas two knobs can make a centerline but runs out of realestate to make the line ot hte ned of the thing… in teh center…
Three knobs.. and adjustible placements of hte knobs allows… any size.. and mid line ot any points.

  41. TheJimmyDonut on September 19, 2022 at 8:49 pm

The tube cutter has a great face for chomping!

  42. S.S RADON on September 19, 2022 at 8:49 pm

any novelty measurement tool maybe besides the square is usually unneccessary since calipers are just so good they’ll get the job done before you find the damn tool.

  43. Tobi on September 19, 2022 at 8:51 pm

    It’s Not a filet gauge!!!!!!! It’s a radius gauge

  44. Noah Campbell on September 19, 2022 at 8:51 pm

I agree. A lot of prints are just random stuff, but I appreciate both this videos usefulness and appropriateness(tools that would actually work if printed instead of being to weak for their purpose)

  45. Carl Miller on September 19, 2022 at 8:53 pm

Love your chopped shirt! Are you a MCM fan?

  46. Röhrich Oak on September 19, 2022 at 8:54 pm

I made some clamps that work, but I only had petg which is garbage compared to PLA.

  47. Vladimir Nevtonenko on September 19, 2022 at 8:54 pm

I need help. My printer stsrt to print parts two times shorter. Width and length are good, but height two times smaller. Do you know what the problem is?

  48. Roger Phillips on September 19, 2022 at 8:54 pm

I’ve been subscribed a while, but first time I really paid attention. Time is short, in my life, but this has been time, well spent. I am heading out to view some of your other vids, hopefully they are of the same caliber. Thank you !!

  49. Exeter on September 19, 2022 at 8:55 pm

Potentially dumb question, but how do you design that "bumpy" surface in Onshape? I noticed it on most of the prints. Or is that just the texture of the bed?

  50. P V 86 on September 19, 2022 at 8:55 pm

my favorite 3d printed tool would be a mini lathe… really need to do that thing!
