Great suggestions for those with small amount of tools, etc. I do not store paints or any other items that might be compromised by extreme cold or heat in my garage even thought it is insulated. But your video is great for the starter. My friends tell me my garage is cleaner than their house, even my floor. I don’t eat at their house.
I would love my husband’s stuff to be that organized–but what about BIG tools like circular saws, jigsaws, drywall trowels–all those big bulky things that are oddly shaped and just don’t seem to fit in anything?? Right now we just throw them into a garage drawer unit and I figured put away is good enough??
Nice! I label top of spray cans which are viewed from above so that I don’t have to pull out cans to choose. My paint cans are lined up on a wall. I slap a label (actually just a piece of masking tape) with the the paint ‘s use on each can. e.g. Kitchen ceiling. Can find paint very quickly.

Home Depot paint cans come with labels similar to those on their cans. The label includes the "recipe" or "formula" so that the color can be made again. However, I have found that the label will fade over time to the point where you can’t read it. I would recommend covering the label with clear tape so that the light doesn’t fade the label over time.
What brand and model of labeler makes the wide yellow labels?

Where do u get the paint can labels?
My situation is that I don’t have a garage or closet for this stuff. I made a space for it, but I did this in spite of the architecture. I still need to organize my tools and materials, tho. And I like to build and make things and I know the names of my stuff. But I’m not some rich person who has 10 drills, 500 screwdrivers and 15 specialized hammers, so the channels created by men for men don’t work for me.

You have a nicely finished garage that even has the joints and nail pops sanded, finish it off and paint it.

Great video! You always have great ideas. One thing that was in our garage before we moved in that has come in handy is shelving that hangs from the ceiling. It is a great place to store big, flat things like collapsible stollers and huge, outdoor Christmas wreaths.
I did this the other day on trash day so the "stuff" wouldn’t sit outside the garage and oh my gosh the junk that can accumulate in the garage is unbelievable!! Now the garage is clean and it’s easy to get in and out of the car from both sides!!!!
How do you organize your dustbin? I’m sure you organize that too. Lol

Thank you! You have the best ideas anywhere! I’m looking for ideas for rakes, bikes, sports equipment, ladders, beach chairs, etc..and toys (like chalk and jump ropes) As of now, we just use circular bins and throw all the rollerblades and balls in them, but everything else is sort of just leaning against the wall and a big mess.

Hi Alejandra, how do you organize/store all of your green bags (reusable shopping bags)
Paint should ALWAYS be Stored low, because some of them are FLAMMABLE. Screws, Nails, should be STORED SEPARATELY. You DO NOT use a Hammer with Screws, so they should be stored TOGETHER. Equally, you DO NOT use a Drill with Nails, so the Drills should be stored with the Screws. Sandpaper should be stored near your Sanding Equipment. Storing things that are used in UNISON WITH EACH OTHER OR CLOSE TO THE ITEMS CUTS DOWN ON SEARCH TIME.
ALSO, imagine reaching for a screw and accidentally knocking over that container you have.
WHAT A MESS TO CLEAN AND SORT. I AM NOT THE BEST ORGANIZER, BUT WHEN IT COMES TO POWER TOOLS AND WHAT YOU USE WITH THEM, WE ARE RIGHT UP MY ALLEY, SO TO SPEAK.
