Lets say the stock already is on the SSR for today and then goes down additional 10%+ pre market on yesterdays close does that then mean it will be on SSR for tommorrow friday?
Thanks in advance, much appreciated!
Thanks Ross, another great educational video! In Das trader these stocks are labeled as SSR
Great video im still confused on one thing though, only example i got is today GME crashed 10% to 238 so we were added to the ssr list. Does that only count for today or does this go into effect for tomorrow as well?
Thanks Ross. I needed this.
great video ross
In all shorts only have 10% gains? That sucks
Everybody buy AMC!!!!!
Awesome explanation, thank you!
Do stocks usually go higher the next day after triggering SSR? Do they gap up?
Concise explanation. Thanks Ross.
I’m absolutely new to this.
Might not be asking correctly.
Say a stock is on SSR on a Monday, a rookie trader can possibly jump on thinking its a good stock then take heavy losses after the restriction is lifted for the rest of the week correct?
Thanks for getting to the point. I understand this much better now.
At 3:20 whats that platform your using
Where are my GME apes at? SSR on Wednesday and GS on Friday. To the fxxking moon!
Does every penny stock have the SSR rule? Or is this rule only for some stocks?
Can I just start a long when ssr is active?
Ross, if I want to sell short a stock in SSR mode, how do I define a good ask price ?
So AMC is on ssr list so should go up tomorrow rignt?
Does the SSR go into effect even given pre and after market trading figures for next days trading?
If SSR is a thing, how come there are stocks that fall 60-70%? Shouldn`t the price be contained in the -10% area when SSR is triggered?
Did this rule recently change?
Who’s here trying to learn. AMC to the moon
Thank you Warrior
Is there any limit on the uptick? Like if it moves $0,01 up is it considered uptick?
So many people get this one wrong! Most think: no shorting at all. WRONG! TY Ross!
0:38 "There is no such thing as a long buy restriction where you can’t buy a stock as it’s going up"… 2021 hold my beer.. $AMC $GME
Hi Ross I’m in the starter program. In my short time in the program I’ve seen lots of stocks on the momo or gap scanner that have traded for years at some low amount, but the day it’s on the scanner it’s trading at 3x 4x it usual amount. How often do these stocks just end up trading close to their original amount? Is shorting these stocks a good strategy?
SLS boys here
Is the 10% drop rule just for speed trader? I’m with Td and they have the uptick rule but it doesn’t say only if it goes down a certain percentage.. so does that mean the uptick rule would apply in all circumstances?
Ross is brilliant and humble, and I respect his teachings. If you are going to do his webinar in the link above to get the free download for the ebook, be aware that it is a three hour webinar and half of that is promotion for the Warrior Day Trading program
So of its triggers you can short
If a stock is trading at $50/share at close of day,
then after close has a earnings report, and the stock drops 20% to $40/share in after hours trading,
when does the uptick start? Can it start in after hours trading?
Or does the uptick rule start on market open?
And I would like to know when the uptick rule comes off?
What I’d like to know is when exactly does it start, and when exactly does it end?
fantastic as always.
Hey Ross, thanks for this video. I have a question for you – is it better to use a hotkey with price Bid+0.01 or price Ask? thanks!
Does this apply to buying puts?
Hi Ross – Will the SSR rule ever prevent me from taking a long position as a stock is surging into a halt?
I wasn’t able to get a few orders filled today as the stock initially pegged going up with the asking price.
I’m new to LightSpeed so I’m making micro adjustments from what I was used to in the WT sim.
In the sim there seemed to be 15 seconds after a stock pegged moving upward that I could still enter a position before being locked out.
I’m not sure if the SSR rule applies here however I thought it would be best to ask. With LS once a stick pegs for just a second, I seem to be locked out.
Any thoughts?
Many Thanks!
Ross appreciate the information but I notice u said if a stock is down 10% then the SSR is turned on, what if it’s down only 3%, 5%, 7% etc … ? Basically any percentage less then 10%. Can u short?
So tomorrow AMC gets an ssr so this is an amazing thing correct? To the moon!
Thanks Ross!!!!
I totally thought SSR meant no shorting at all! Fortunately I don’t short often in general anyway but now that I know this, it’s making me realize I need to go get up to speed on how to properly short b/c I’ve apparently had it very wrong. lol
How long dose a see last
As it probably sucks for trading this is probably a really good rule for our economy. Keep greedy people from crashing the market as easy
U get trading halts on the upside though, they don’t happen on the downside
Hey Ross, so every stock is subject to this rule?
I’m learning as much as I can about trading before I enter day trading on a regular basis. Your videos are very valuable to me, and I thank you. I’m thinking about specializing in going short, since every time I go long the bottom falls out and the stock tanks.
So its a good thing when a stock is SSR
"It closed just under 4 dollars so it needed to drop 10%, and today the lowest price was 4.50 " where is the 10% drop here? Your explanation doesn’t go in hand with the conditions of when SSR is triggered. I think what really triggered it (in BTAI) was the previous day not the day you are looking at.
You should clarify this, thank you
DOES SSR APPLY TO REGULAR STOCK OR OPTION STOCK AS WELL? THANK YOU
💎 🙌
these short explanations are fantastic
