Can’t wait for the Skil Auto Power tools garage roll around. Low height for working while sitting. Could be modular for higher work. I can visualize it and I’m sure your designers can too. Shop Calendar a must for "23".

rather propagandist advert, great use for either gas or battery equipment depending on task and location – at least its not some tool cutting grass in a lab coat

Absolutely hilarious, zombie is exactly how you feel running a weed eater in this damn Georgia summer heat 😂

Hmmm. They cleaned up the commercial? The version I watched, on live TV, showed blood shooting out of the dudes arm. I actually took a screen shot because of how bazaar it was. But very effective, lol.

Is a dual 40v mower possible? Bug zapper?

Sorry,. Oil is the second most abundant liquid on the planet next to water. Lithium is finite and won’t last forever.

    Love seeing this!

An amusing commercial but bears no relation to real life. In fact, I just lost a lot of respect for SKIL.

I tried using yard electric tools and will never do so again. Problem is that their effectiveness drops considerably when they battery gets below 70% — and that usually does not take long. In other words, they just don’t have the power to do jobs that take over a half hour. And it takes a few hours (or overnight) to recharge. This can mean a routine job that should take an hour can stretch out over multiple days. No thanks.

Contrast that with gas, which delivers full power until the tank runs dry and takes 2-3 minutes to refill. The commercial is also misleading as it is rare that I have a problem starting any of my gas equipment. If anyone is the Zombie, it’s the fool waiting hours for their equipment to recharge.

Oof. 2.1 million views and 39 upvotes? Rough. At least you haven’t disabled comments.

Ain’t no way it’s as powerful as a gas engine. Prove me wrong because I hope I am

Hahaha. Wonder what goes first, this product off the market or Biden out of office.

    Great ad!

This is stupid and people are coming in this ad are complaining and making political arguments on a video that’s not supposed to be political.

Battery powered lawnmowers, Weedeaters, Edgers, and other yard tools for years. And why are they complaining about it now? Because companies the market to move out off gas and they fucking hate it. And why are they complaining about the Democrats? Because they are not Republican right wing conservatives.

    Loving it LOL

Loving the quality of the trimmer and blower. Really like the ability to change speed by touch of trigger.

Ironic that they show a Brugmansia plant in the background at 0:11. The word zombie actually comes from a Haitian datura ritual and datura is essentially the same thing as brugmansia (just the tree version). ‘Zombifying’ plants which contain scopolamine.

Not too long before the 80v triple stage snowblower? Two 40v batteries?

  23. Kavin King on September 13, 2022 at 7:20 pm

Is that LOUIS CK coming back from the dead to do power equipment ads? (the red haired zombie in the stray hat)

  24. U.P. dan on September 13, 2022 at 7:20 pm

Can’t wait for the Skil portable solar generator for charging our batteries.

  25. J Clark on September 13, 2022 at 7:21 pm

This is the first time I ever searched for an ad after watching it 30 seconds ago. Well done, marketing team
