  10. Matt Williamson on September 13, 2022 at 6:31 pm

I’d say operators’ lack of safety precautions, their apathy, or (#1) their negligence causes more accidents than whatever dangerous tool(s) they happen to be using.

Most dangerous tool in the shop are on the job site is the two legged fool who doesn’t know what he’s doing with it that causes injury to himself and other people

  13. Tex Southernman on September 13, 2022 at 6:33 pm

I’ve thrown by a power post digger. I almost broke my arm. It hung up in a root. It literally slung me off my feet. Far a a grinder. My little brother had one blow up on him giving him a nasty shaving scar. 10 stitches. Another guy I know had one blow up and with safety glasses lost a eye. Ya I’ve been lucky with power tools.

I would add words to this list. My wife yelled at me after I botched a DIY project and used very vicious and hurtful language. She’s lucky I couldn’t find my air compressor

  15. Luke Sams on September 13, 2022 at 6:40 pm

Thankfully I’ve only been hurt by a tablesaw kick back. Took a 20 foot wood paneling to the thigh. Tis but a scratch

  16. Andrew Green on September 13, 2022 at 6:41 pm

I run an auger company and we will never use a hand auger they will hurt you

  17. 0x539 on September 13, 2022 at 6:41 pm

After watching this I stopped blowing compressed air into my anus. Thanks for the warning!

  18. Hank Hill on September 13, 2022 at 6:41 pm

I think you can spray your self with compressed air because I use compressed air to blow off fiber glass

  19. Susan Koech on September 13, 2022 at 6:44 pm

This is why I wear full knight armour when using a circular saw and angle grinder.

  20. jimmy demaar on September 13, 2022 at 6:45 pm

  23. Bendude on September 13, 2022 at 6:47 pm

I think the most dangerous thing I’ve used is an angle grinder with twisted knot wire brush, if that thing catches on something it’s violent.

  24. Romain T on September 13, 2022 at 6:47 pm

    No table saw?

  25. rising tide on September 13, 2022 at 6:48 pm

The grinder made me rethink using it without the guard

  26. Devin Bales on September 13, 2022 at 6:48 pm

The most dangerous tool is that script off to the side 😂😂 put that shit above your camera so your eyes don’t dart to read it

  27. Thewld on September 13, 2022 at 6:48 pm

Just bought an angle grinder. Not taking that guard off now! 😶

  28. RM Mccarthy on September 13, 2022 at 6:49 pm

  31. Dean Wolslagel on September 13, 2022 at 6:52 pm

get Vid but a ladder is the WORST !

  32. Philip Hebert on September 13, 2022 at 6:52 pm

Can’t say it’s deadly but the tool with the most accidents Would be a standard slotted screwdriver

  33. Anthony fix on September 13, 2022 at 6:53 pm

  35. PH R/C on September 13, 2022 at 6:53 pm

I think you need to do another one of these, there are still so many more dangerous tools that are very common

  36. RM Mccarthy on September 13, 2022 at 6:56 pm

Also, auger on a turned-off snow blower.

  37. EternityForest on September 13, 2022 at 6:56 pm

I had compresses air aimed at an ear by a friend when I was 13 or so. Do not do this.

The scariest tool I actually use regularly is probably ladder. I’m mostly maintainence, not high rate production. I can work really slow and plan everything when I use a grinder or something. A ladder makes any task 3 dimensional and no longer purely visual. I’m not on level ground, and I can’t see my feet and the work at the same time. I’ve always had a lot of trouble keeping any awareness of more than 1ft of space at a time, so it’s always super confusing.

Mechanical stored energy is also scary. With a bungee cord, your hand is right on the stored energy, and it it takes active work to control it.

I can’t avoid ladders, springs, and

  38. Bryan Driscoll on September 13, 2022 at 6:56 pm

If you watch this at 1.5 x speed, it sounds like he talking at a normal rate. You’re welcome!

  39. CeinX on September 13, 2022 at 6:57 pm

Had a saw kick back and barely Nick me

  40. Bryan Lopez on September 13, 2022 at 6:57 pm

The dangerous tool I know of is a table saw which you forgot to add in the dangerous tools list

  41. Malicant on September 13, 2022 at 6:58 pm

My dad has an old grinder that he got some time in the early 80s. It has no side handle, the safety guard is gone and, worst of all, the on-off switch is at the base of the tool where the power cable connects. Thus, it’s necessary to hold it in one hand to turn it on and off. I don’t know why he continues to use it, but it’s one tool that I would only use as a last resort.

  42. anthony Juice on September 13, 2022 at 7:02 pm

I had a grinding disk explode and cut my hand pretty damn good

  43. Neville Passarrelli on September 13, 2022 at 7:07 pm

    Leather face?

  44. Ricardo A on September 13, 2022 at 7:08 pm

I self clean every single day. Been doing it for 5 years.

  45. Kris Whitney on September 13, 2022 at 7:09 pm

Don’t forget the chuck n duck wood chipper. Holy shit that’s dangerous.

  46. Matthew Bauer on September 13, 2022 at 7:09 pm

I consider knowledge or knowing how to do or use something to be the most important tool. Therefore a lack of knowledge can be extremely dangerous. That said, I assumed the most dangerous tools would be mostly saws/cutting tools and the most dangerous would be a chainsaw.

  47. Tamaz Tikanadze on September 13, 2022 at 7:10 pm

    1 table saw
    2 cordless scissors

  48. Matt Williamson on September 13, 2022 at 7:12 pm

I prefer to use gas augers with a mule (where the motor sits on 4 wheels and the auger portion is powered thru a drive shaft). The safest ones are attached to tractor PTOs tho.

  49. Iwein DL on September 13, 2022 at 7:18 pm

I’m often laughed at because I’m safety first at all times, I for example used to work in a garage where they had 3 angle grinders and just one with a safety guard, I wouldn’t be grinding if this one wasn’t available. Same thing with my chainsaws, I don’t even start them for maintenance without protection on because it could happen fast. I think it is your right as a worker to go home in the evening in the same shape and condition as you left home in the morning.

  50. Brian Deal on September 13, 2022 at 7:19 pm

That guy falling off the ladder with a chainsaw – That’s why you use a bucket guys. And if you don’t have a bucket, pay someone who does. (Although I just use tree climbing spikes).
